Join Pastor John Tyson for The Marriage Course, a 7-week experience designed to help couples invest in their relationships. The course equips couples with tools and techniques to keep the spark alive and stay connected. Over seven sessions, the course covers: Strengthening Connection, The Art of Communication, Resolving Conflict, The Power of Forgiveness, The Impact of Family, Good Sex and Love in Action. There is no group work and each couple's conversations are completely private. Whether you've been married five years or fifty years, this is a wonderful opportunity to deepen the connection between you and your spouse.
We will gather on Wednesday nights, 6 - 8 PM, beginning February 15 in Bradley Hall (our fellowship hall). Each sessions includes dinner and childcare.
Sharing dinner together is a critical part of the Marriage Course experience, a chance to unwind and connect with one another before teaching and discussions begin. Participants will be joining the larger Highland family for its weekly Wednesday Night LIFT (Living in Faith Together) dinner. These meals alternate between catered dinners and meals prepared by church volunteers which also serve as fundraising dinners for our Rise Against Hunger meal-packing event in April.
To be sure that there is enough food and to help cover costs, Marriage Course participants need to reserve and pay for their meal each week. Reservations are taken from noon on the Wednesday before to Monday at noon the week of the dinner.
