Home > Worship > Serving in Worship

Worship is the work of the people, an offering to God.  While clergy and staff may have leadership roles in worship, the entire congregation makes worship happen.

There are numerous ways that you can be involved in both our traditional services and our Connection contemporary service.  Here's how you can get plugged in:

At the Traditional Services:

Sign up here to be a greeter before the 8:30 or 11:00 services.

At the Connection

Sign up here to usher, be a greeter, help with set up and clean up, read Scripture, set up Holy Communion, or be a Communion server.

Sign up here to provide refreshments for the congregation in Bradley Hall on Sunday morning.

Worship Training Day

Do you volunteer on Sunday mornings at Highland?  Are you interested in helping with worship on Sundays?

Don't miss Worship Volunteer Training on Saturday, January 20, from 10:30am - 12:00pm, beginning in the Sanctuary.  The purpose is to get as many worship volunteers together to clarify our purpose, refresh long-term volunteers, and train new volunteers.
Schedule:
10:30am   Opening Seminar - Why We Serve In Worship (Sanctuary, everyone)
11-12         Break-Out Training (Ushers & Greeters, Scripture Readers & Liturgists, Communion Servers and Acolytes, Audio/Visual Teams and Video Streaming, Music Groups)
