Highlanders is our group for the "young at heart," mostly retirees, though all adults are welcome to join their gatherings.  They meet  regularly at the church for lunch and guest speakers, but they are just as often on the move, traveling around the area to a wealth of sites and experiences.  Friends are always welcome, too.  Contact Charlie Stuber to learn more about the group.

Transportation to Highland on Sunday Mornings

Highland's minibus drives residents at Springmoor to and from church for Sunday School and worship on Sunday mornings.  The bus comes to Springmoor at 9:00 to bring folks to Sunday School and worship.  The bus will return everyone to their homes after the 11:00 worship service.  If you have questions about riding the bus, please contact Candi Scott or Tom Lamb at the church office at 919-787-4240.

Nancy Cabe has planned another great trip in her comfortable motorcoach. Highlanders and friends will be traveling first to Washington, D.C. to tour the newly opened Bible Museum. The trip will continue to Lancaster, PA for a meal in an Amish home followed by the new musical Jesus in the fantastic Sight and Sound Theatre.
A $50 deposit is required to reserve a seat (no later than March 30) with the balance due by April 20, 2018. The cost is $555 each for double occupancy with checks payable to Nancy Cabe Tours. More details at reception desk.

We are planning our annual seafood luncheon in June which will be ether on June 12 or June 19, probably at Captain Stanleys.  We may also make a short stop at the newly renovated Reynolds Coliseum on the NC State Campus. The history of that building makes it probably the most famous building in the state of North Carolina.  Among many other notable events, several presidents have given speeches there.
