Sleep Out to End Homelessness

Sleep Out to End Homelessness

Friday, September 16

We're pitching our tents on the front lawn of the church for our almost annual "Sleep Out."

Our goals are:

-to learn about homelessness in our community and how we can help

-to raise awareness about the need for affordable housing in Wake County

-to raise money to support Family Promise

-to have fun in the process!

Join Us!

Come and spend the night with us!  We will pitch our tents between 4:30 and 5:30, then enjoy a meal together (about 5:45), followed by an interactive program that will help us learn more about homelessness.  --A campfire and outdoor movie will follow before everyone heads to their own tents for the night.    It will be like camping--except that we have really nice bathrooms nearby.

On Saturday morning we'll enjoy breakfast together, then pack up our tents and head home.

If you would like to participate, but don't have a tent please just let us know on the registration form.

Support Us!

So if urban camping is not your thing--or if you are unavailable on Sept. 16, you can still be part of our effort by making a pledge/gift to Family Promise.

Just a reminder:

This is not a drop-off event.  Parents will need to participate with their children.  Thank you.
