Students of all ages, along with teachers and administrators, are headed back to school. In this time of new beginnings, we celebrate the end of summer and seek God's blessings for a wonderful year ahead. Join us on Sunday, August 27, for times of worship and times of fun.
Blessing of the Backpacks
In both Sunday services, we will ask God's blessing on all our students and teachers beginning a new year of learning and growing. Students are encouraged to bring their backpacks to worship and will receive a small gift to help remember God's presence with them throughout the year.
Messy Church Exploration Meeting
Life is messy. Messy Church is a way of doing church that welcomes families and children in all their messy realities. Highland is exploring what this creative program would look like here. All interested persons are invited to learn more on August 27 at 6 pm.
Youth End of Summer Celebration
Join us in the youth room from 5-7 PM to reconnect with friends, have dinner, hang out, play games and have fun. New to Highland's youth group? Come meet youth leaders and get to know other kids. There will also be a youth parents orientation time with information about fall activities from 5:30 - 6 in the Conference Room.
Children's End of Summer Celebration
Join us on the front lawn for a party from 4:00 to 5:00 PM! We’ll have crafts, balloon animals, frozen treats, games, etc. We will also be collecting school supplies for Wake County students in need. All are welcome; bring a friend!
