Everyone is invited to join us in Bradley Hall for our annual soup and sides pot-luck supper and Advent wreath workshop. We will have craft activities, and individuals and families can make an Advent wreath to use at home.

We hope you'll join us instead for the Come As You Are Nativity on December 20 (see below).

Join us for our rendition of a traditional Moravian Lovefeast. This service includes special refreshments, lots of holiday music, and opportunities to share how we have seen God at work in our lives.
Join us for a pizza party in the Conference Room at on Wednesday December 20 at 6 PM, followed by the "Come As You Are Nativity" in the sanctuary. The Come As You Are Nativity is our community re-telling of the Christmas Story where everyone gets a part and no rehearsals are required. Come be a shepherd or an angel, one of the animals or one of the wise ones. Bring your friends and neighbors as we celebrate the birth of God's son, who invites all of us to come as we are.
10 AM
Sing along to all of your holiday favorites...Bluegrass style! This service of Lessons & Carols will be a highlight of your Christmas celebrations.
5 PM
This interactive service is tailored to all ages. We’ll experience a creative retelling of the Christmas Story, take communion together, and sing hymns by candlelight.
7 PM
This service is traditional in format, including the liturgy and message you’re used to hearing on Sunday mornings. Our Highland Choir will be featured. We’ll partake in the sacrament of Communion together and sing hymns by candlelight.
If you would like to purchase a poinsettia in memory or honor of a special person and have it placed in the sanctuary during Advent, order forms will be available in the narthex at Highland and online.
Please return the order form and payment to the church office or call Eddie Wood (787-8696). Plants are $10 each. Checks should be made payable to Highland United Methodist Church or you can order and pay online. Deadline for ordering is Sunday, December 3. Poinsettias will be available for collection after the Christmas Eve service.
The Remembrance Tree is a wonderful way remembering friends and loved ones during the Holidays by purchasing a $10 light in honor or memory of that special person in your life. All proceeds will go to support the work of Family Promise of Wake County.
The tree will be lit December 1-31 on the HUMC lawn. Lights may be purchased through November 30. Email the complete following information to Amy Massey (amymassey69@att.net). Send your check to the HUMC business office marked "Remembrance Tree" or give online and select the "Remembrance Tree" fund:
